About Us
Santa Lucia Rockhounds, Inc. is a charitable group organized as a California Non-profit Public Benefit Corporation. The specific purpose of the group is to promote the study of mineralogy, including, but not limited to, the fields of lapidary, metalworking, jewelry design and fabrication, geology, field trips for collecting and related history. We encourage learning and good citizenship in a congenial atmosphere. We respect both private and public property and strive to protect natural resources. We are a member of the California Federation of Mineralogical Societies and affiliated with the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies.

Annual Dues
$20 for single adult and $8 for each additional family member in the household. Dues are payable September first of each year.
Meetings
Club meetings are typically held the third Monday of each month. We begin at 7:00 P.M. with a short general meeting, followed by a hobby-related program. After the program is a time for refreshments, a silent auction and other social and sharing activities. Anyone interested is most cordially welcome. We meet at the Pioneer Museum located at:

The Board of Directors meets on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 PM, at the same location. All Members are invited.
Our Rock Show
The annual Rockhound Roundup is held at Pioneer Park & Museum at 2010 Riverside Avenue just south of the Mid-State Fairgrounds the 3rd weekend of every September. The Pioneer Museum is located just south of the Mid-State Fairgrounds at 2010 Riverside Avenue. The park is adjacent to the museum and to the south at the corner of Riverside Avenue and 22nd Street. The next show will be held the weekend of September 15 & 16, 2012.
